Hello everyone! Today I will be writing about one of my favorite sites, Quizlet.
An essential target of language teaching is vocabulary achievement. While this is promoted through communication, extensive reading, and so on, there will be times when we want our students to focus exclusively on specific subjects. If you don’t have many opportunities for live communication with your students, Quizlet can be a big help. Quizlet helps students practice and master whatever they are learning. Users can search a database of millions of pre-created study sets on thousands of topics, or create their own custom study sets. Quizlet also saves students and teachers time by providing several different ways to review the material. There are five divided practice methods to make use of Quizlet. These are Flash Cards, Write, Speller, Match, and Live. All of them provides different options and features so that student and teachers utilize them. It can be used for individual practice or collaborative learning, in or outside of the classroom. There is much more to Quizlet, especially if you get a Premium plan, but the free plan should suffice to get you started! In a time of turbulence and uncertainty, your students may be thankful for an opportunity to revise or learn new vocabulary in a game-like tool such as this.
